World Heritage listed Fraser Island is one of the few places in Australia where you can legally drive on the beach. The East Coast of the Island stretches roughly 120km, making the beach virtually a highway.
The Adventure Camper is a great drive, boasting power steering and easy conversion to 4WD. The front cabin also features air conditioning, plus a stereo and CD player. The vehicle includes many 4WD extras such as a Safety and Survival Guide, air jack and recovery shovel, all essential for a safe trip on Fraser Island.
The spacious rear cabin of your Adventure Camper provides plenty of ventilation with side fly screens along the pop top roof. Features such as internal lighting and fridge with freezer run off the 12volt battery. All cooking utensils and appliances are included with your vehicle rental, and stow neatly away while you drive. The rental camper boasts air conditioning, ample storage space and all bedding to ensure you have a comfortable driving holiday.
The Adventure Camper is ideally suited to comfortable overnight stays in informal camping areas with no facilities. The vehicle converts from play to rest mode quickly and easily. The vehicle is fitted with a large retractable side awning to cook and eat under.
Fishing on Fraser Island is superb; simply pull up to your own fishing spot and cast away. Taylor is popular in the winter months, while whiting and bream are favoured in the warmer months. Your meal doesn’t come fresher than straight from the ocean into the pan, and you can cook wherever you are.
At night, you may come across some curious local inhabitants. Fraser Island Dingoes are believed to be the purest strain of Dingo in Australia. The Dingoes are wild, and should not be approached nor fed.
